Lofting problem

Hi,

 

I'm trying to loft an ellipse along the pink line (see the top image attached) yet when I do it, it rotates the ellipse round 90 degrees (see the bottom image). Any ideas how I can keep the ellipse flat if that makes sense.

Check Ted Boardman's "Lofting" series right here on this site. he has like 3 papers on lofting.
