MarkC-UK
In AutoCad, to draw the shape below I would ensure I was in ortho mode (F8), which is equivalent to holding the shift key in max, click a point then drag the line vertically downwards and press 6. This would give me a vertical line 6 units long. I'd then drag a line to the right and type 24 etc etc. What is the equivalent way of doing this in Max 6?? Please don't tell me 'use the keyboard entry' method!! There must be a quicker way of doing it?? Can I draw the shape very roughly, but in proportion, and then adjust it so each segment is to the correct dimensions (similar to the sketch/constrain process in Mechanical Desktop or Inventor)?? Brian Smith
There is no equivalent...sorry to say...just ain't. Max wasn't built around line editing like AutoCAD was. Takes me about 5 times longer to do this in Max.

manta
why don't you export it from autocad into max...
