Raid 0+1 - Striped and Mirrored

Just a note: I just lost a drive. Total repair time: 20 minutes...

I went to the store, bought a new drive, plugged it in...

After a 20 minute rebuild, it booted, logged-in, and ran and ran and ran!!!

No reinstall, no authorized, no reanything!

Once I worked on a RAID10, I will NEVER go back!

It is striped and mirrored 0+1...

I also have everything on my 'D' drive with 256MB of supercache II on XP Pro with up to 20 seconds of data delay.

I'll tell you, after 34 years of working on computers it is sure nice to have bulletproof solution that is really, really, really fast.

There is nothing worse than having to reinstall Windows version x.x for (n)x time!!!

20 minutes, no data loss, no headaches, no problems... It made my week!!!

I just posted to let everyone in the pool know, based on real use and with real data, that the extra $120-$180 may be the best money you can spend in hardware...

In real world use it is better money spent than that wiz-bang video card or the extra 100mhz cpu.
