bguz
Is anyone using the Simian Arch Materials with LWF? I can't seem to figure out how to gamma correct the diffuse colors and as a result getting unpredictable results.
FlytE
what kind of unpredictable results?
bguz
Real bright (blown out) whites in the reflections. I had become comfortable working with it and then changed my work flow and now spend a lot of time making adjustments. I have seen other posts of adjusting gamma for colors and was wondering if someone had come up with a way to do it for the Simian materials. I really like working with the Simian Mats but might have to go back to making them myself if I can't get something that works well.
BrianKitts
under your max prefs for gamma & LUT......do you have the 2 tick boxes for affect color picker and material shaders selected?
bguz
I probably should have mentioned that I am using Viz 2007. I may be wrong (and hope I am) but I don't think they give us that option.
bguz
The more I think about it, the more I think it is not a problem with the gamma adjustment in the Simian Mat, but the manipulations I had to do with the map I have in the reflection slot. I've had a hard time getting reflections to work well with the physical camera.
