pradipta
HI, i have one more query on LC and IR calculation for walkthrough animation. Is it recomended to keep the QMC sampler settings high (0.003) during the calculation of LC and IR data? I tried using high QMC sampler settings and low QMC sampler settings and it's affectiung the final render time by a considerable amount. If light data are calculated using high QMC sampler settings then final render is taking at least 40 percent more. Is it true in every case? kippu
http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/150R1/examples_qmc.htm rqmc sampler as specified in the above link , affects GI calculation so yes ..you increase settings , you get higher time
pradipta
Thanks Maria for the link. I saw that before. My question is while calculating the LC data and IR data seperately for walkthrough animation, is it required to keep the QMC sample high as well? I am anyway keeping the QMC high for the final rendering.
kippu
since it affects the quality of the GI , i am sure you will have to keep it high for your calculation too... unless if you are satisfied with lower level qmc calculation
