alias_marks
Hey guys, hope all is well. Check out these corners and tell me what you think. I can't seem to shake this corner gradient that tends to be occuring on all my lofted objects. I've tried to convert to poly's, subdivide among other modifications to the geometry with no luck. The all have UVW maps too. I know the corners should be sharper just by looking at the corners below them (which are extruded lines). Why are they fading to black? It even has the opposite problem on the opposing corners where it becomes way to bright. I'm using mental ray, Final Gather with no GI. For this render I've just used the default Standard Material. Thanks for any insight. Have a good one! Michael

alias_marks
Excellent Advice Strat! Thanks. For anyone else out there with the same problem, make sure when your doing a loft, uncheck "smooth length" and "smooth width" under "surface Parameters" if your trying to get sharp edges. Thanks again, I'd been stuck on that one for a couple days. Michael
Andrew Roane
Thanks, I posted the same problem a few weeks ago, and I never resolved the issue completely
