AndNesJoe
Hey Whats Up Im New To The 3d World Too. Looking Good! What Programs Did You Use?
jtroupe
I used 3D Studio Max 8, and Photoshop. It was done using the scaline render because I have been unable to get my company to by Vray yet.
little architect
Nice work!! I liked the lights and shadows , they look very realistic
Devin Johnston
The first image looks good; the only thing I would change would be the position of the sun. Right now half of the house is in shadow, some shadow is good but you don't want your focus to be centered in a shaded area.
doodler
Your Images look good for a beginner. One thing I would say to everyone, if you are producing a still image of a new building development I would go and photograph as many natural elements as possible. your trees look like they are RPC ?, you will notice a hell of a difference to your work if you take as much time in Post as you do in the actual model creation. Use your camera. over a couple of jobs you will develop your skills and build up a great photo library for future work, you will also see the difference with real buildings and modelled renders, compare them side by side and you will improve your work greatly. keep it up, good luck
Brian Smith
The road, curbs, sidewalk and grass are fantastic. They are not the focus obviously but very important. The rest is nice too but these stand out. I would go a little farther with the grass and make it go over the sidewalk (in photoshop).
jtroupe
Thank you for all your comments. Doodler: I hear what you are saying about comparing the real thing with the 3d version. What would you suggest using besides RPC trees? The only other things I could think of is to get flat images of trees and try to put them in using Photoshop after the render is done. Would this look good?? Thanks.
doodler
Jtroupe. Thats the only way i would do it. you can create refelction maps in max that refelct the trees in your glazing, I would use photographs every time. its real, why try and make something look real when you can go and take a photo and comp it in...simple. good luck
jtroupe
Alright, I had a chance to fix the grass in photoshop, hopefuly it looks better. I think that it looks fine if you are zoomed out far enough, but if I have to have it at a larger size, I am afraid that you will see the line where I fixed it. I haven't had a chance to try and use real tree pictures yet, but will definitely try and do that in the future. Thank you. doodler
if you are worried about the grass having a sharp edge make a brush in PS that looks like grass blades. This way you can use the same brush as either a rubber or clone stamp to get a nice bit of detail to you images. use real sky too, try and match the sun position from your image to that in the sky when you take your photo. Cars, people plants look at your image and think whats missing. It can all be added in post... good luck
