lefks
Hey Guys, I am having trouble lighting a scene with a bed side table lamp. I am using a free point light in which I have put a self-illumination on the lamp shade with a falloff mapped to it. I have getting sharp shadows on the ceiling from the point light. I cannot seem to figure out how to soften the edges using a point light. Usually it would be the fall off but I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be great thanks!! RimasK
use Vray shadows for the light, and in VRay shadows parameters turn on smooth surface shadows + area shadows and play with U, V, W - I put 15 cm in each.
Joseph Petrino
The VrayLightMtl is a better way to go than self illumination also.
