Koper
Ok, I just need a little bit of advice. I talked to two shops specialising in architectural finnishes such as tiles and wall paints/textures ect., and the big idea is to take picture of their products and create a catalog that shows how their Tiles, for instance, look in different lights and so on. The prob. is that i have no idea on what to charge them, should i go on an hourly rate or should i try to determine a fixed price. I don't want to scare them with the pricing as they seem keen on doing this but have never heard of this being done before and therefore are skeptic. 3D archviz is fairly new in SA. Any other advise also welcome Thanx
mbowers
I would charge hourly. It's usually less complicated to figure out, price wise and work load wise. The other method (fee) would need to be meticulously (spelling) thought out. Perhaps some mock ups for the layouts and content would be helpful for the client to see and use. If you go fee based, i would make sure to include milestones, or a schedule for completion so they can relate to how progress is being made.
