joseph alexander
We have consultants that still use AutoCAD 2000. Does anyone know of a converter that will translate a 2005 file to a 2000 file, for our consultants. So we don't have to save down? -Joe
neko
i'm not sure if this is the answer you want to hear, but when i'm faced with the problem of consultants not upgrading software, i make it their problem to fix. if they don't want to invest in an upgrade, then tell them to download the autocad 2007 demo and do their own converting. when i'm in a nicer, more helpful mood i change my settings in the OPTIONS menu under 'open and save' and set the default back to autocad 2000. it shouldn't be a big deal to your files, and it solves the problem of having to SAVE AS manually. hope that helps cheers paul

manta
Here try this... http://www.dwggateway.com/pages/products/index.html If they install this, theoretically they should be able to read all .dwg files...
