Green TFT display

Has anyone experienced a TFT going green on them?

I've tried resetting to factory settings which happens to make it normal for a blink of an eye then it reverts to 'green'

The green seems to be more prominent at the top of the display and fades to an almost normal colour at the bottom.

 

I have the latest BIOS & GPU drivers and the cables are tight, any ideas as to what is causing this?

Only time I've seen this is when the video card or video connector is loose. This can be confirmed nearly instantly by jiggling the cable...if the image changes, thats the problem.

 

Otherwise you're looking at a display with damaged lighting, or a damaged panel. Way to check for this? Hook the LCD up to a laptop or another computer. If the problem persists, its the LCD, and will most likely require replacement.

 

There are some utilties you can use to diagnose the problem further (image ones for the lcd), but I don't have any of the links handy.

Thanks Greg for you valued input. I tried the utils but still no joy. Check all card settings etc, hooked up to another PC, jiggled (and the cable ) still nothing. Fortunately while I was waiting for a reply I stumbled upon the warranty which is a 3 year home swap out. FANTASTIC and a new TFt is winging it's way here as we speak.

Did you have a chance to test the LCD on another computer? That would confirm its an LCD problem and not computer related. Good job on the warranty though, always nice to have free replacements .
