foxlee
thought id try doing the bridge, bit freaked about trying to design a bridge since his bridges are context bound solutions and his structural concept is the use of minimum stretched to maximum. anyway this is an model of Delavesa bridge, done in 1991. i like it for its imbalance, constant motion sort of feel.It is a very 3-dimensional object all sides different. This is a brilliant site with excellent selfless contributors. Thanx image page

nisus
nice. how long did you model on these? nisus
foxlee
the modelling took about 7 hours till now,i did not really check, the only difficult part is the concrete pylon the rest is just extruded lines copied, mirrored and vertex readjusting. i model in max from 2d diagrams in viewports. The problem occurs with copying the balustrade supports,it increases file size considerably, around 85 000 faces at the moment. i will post updates as I continue. Not sure whether it will be worthwhile to model detail on underside of deck which is quite considerable, struts etc. would like to see some other attempts, I cant be the only one doing this. foxlee
thought i would update the bridge images, all the fixing and final moves on vertexes still need to be done, railings incomplete. Quick lightscape exposure ,unhappy about artifacting but i think i know what the problems are. have a look see. la devesa bridge 1 page
