We As A People Have To Understand That Our Problem Isn't Just With Air Pollution. If We Can Take A Step In The Right Direction While Helping Our Economy And Decreasing The Unemployment Rate We Have Accomplished Alot More Then We Think. A Small Step In The Right Direction Is Better Then No Step At All.

That's all fine and good but the problem is were facing higher and higher gas prices because we depend on foreign countries to supply us with what we need, and were also paying for alternate sources like ethanol. What about the large oil deposits that we already know about in this country that environmental regulations say we can't touch. It doesn’t make since to me to pay more for ethanol and get less of a benefit from it than if we take the appropriate environmental precautions and go and get the oil that will drive down the price of gas long term.

I read that it takes almost as much fossil fuel to produce and deliver the ethanol as you save by using it. And hydrogen cars aren't any better, at least the way they're planning them now, because all the ways they have of producing the hydrogen involve fossil fuels. Personally I like the "plug-in hybrids" idea, but we might need more nuclear plants to get that to work.

I Understand That That And I Totally Agree With You. All I Am Saying Is We Need To Move Fowarded In Any Way Shape Or Form In Becoming Completely Independent From Foriegn Resources. Whether It Be Tapping Oil Wells Here Or Creating A Program Over The Next Ten Years That Will Allow Us To Provide Our Own Ethanol With Out Looking Somewhere Else. The Ethanol Car Is Not Going To Boom Over Nigth Like The Hybrid Did Unless We Have The Proper Means Of Supply And Demand.
