foorked1
im kinda new to vray, it seems that vray it spending most of its time 'prepassing' rather than rendering. is this normal?. how low should i go with test render settings? vray takes so long to render! what is prepass ing? thanks
Nic H
it really depends on your settings, you can turn off prepass if you dont liek seeing it but it is useful to get a rough idea of light b4 rendering esp with lightcache. what kind of settings and scenes are you doing? foorked1
thanks for the reply. im doing my first vray render, ive worked out that you only need to work out the irradiance map once? and save it? the prepassing is working out the irradiance map right? do i need to redo it if i am rendering different res or settings? currently im using 'low' settings.
