I think you're right on the texturing and lighting points. The bump map on the wall covering is a little bit much and overall I think the lighting is good but nothing to write home about. I wish that I had more time to tweak the lighting but I have a 2 week timeframe to do this outside of my normal 9-5 job.

 

If any V-ray users have any suggestions on the lighting it would be much appreciated.

My first impression is that your getting some excessive colour bleeding especially on the image with the red carpet and chairs. Try toning down your saturation level in the vray dialogue box. from 1.0 to .6 or so on the red carpet image. You don't want to lose the warmth that it creates but you don't want your white walls looking pink either.
