Guest STU_P
My girlfriend has just bought a Fujitsu Siemens laptop which is already setup for a wireless internet connection. However where she is currently living there is no landline internet access. We have seen a method whereby a type of mobile phone SIM can be placed into an adaptor and inserted into the PCMCIA slot on the side of the laptop. Unfortunately this computer doesn't have such a slot just USB ports. Is there a gadget whereby this adaptor can be inserted into it and then plugged into a USB port? I've seen plenty whereby a PCMCIA slot can be converted into extra USB ports but not the other way round. Thanks Stu.

Guest STU_P
Cheers Brian, I'd been directed to these via another computer forum, I think they are exactly what I need, However at nearly $200 I think they are a little too pricey for my liking! Cheers anyway.

Maybe it's cheaper in Europe, but in North America unlimited data plans (which is what you would need for Internet browsing), would probably be magnitudes more than the cost of the device.
