Ken
We're recently begin to get involve into Product Design and lots of Arch Viz work. It's kinda new to me since i originally comes from commercials and Corporate Video 3D design work and been using SI3D and XSI since 98 til now. Lately, i begin to feel that XSI is not suitable for such work. We've been receiving a lot of blueprint like print out CAD drawing. It's out of question. We're looking for alternatives application or more appropriates application for such work. I don't think we will go for Max. I'm looking for an advice from the expert for such thing. Most top priority is the modeling, accuracy from the blueprints is quiet crucial and meant for Arch Viz work. Anybody please advice and suggest please ? IC
There are loads of really good accurate modellers out there and an equal amount of good renderers. FormZ springs to mind but there is also Rhino or even the cheaper Silo and Hexagon options. Modo is the current product impressing everyone but it's not as technically oriented as the first two I mentioned. Have a browse around these forums for more info. Ken
We already take a look at Modo, it's promising, but some of the important CAD tools are missing. Will start to evaluate FormZ. Thanks for your kind reply IC, appreciate it very much Regards
