ctk111
Hi, I have a monitor that I want to share with my mac and pc. Anyone know of a way to switch back and forth between the two without having to unhook the monitor cables? I'm wondering if there is a switch of some sort that would allow the monitor to receive the signal from either computer? Thanks
martin walker
Chad, there is a gadget that allows this, but Im not sure if this works with Mac /PC. My girlfriend and I have the same problem...(she is a low life Mac user ) and we are stuck for studio space so we need to do the same
BrianKitts
KVM switch.... as for the MAC and PC together, normally a KVM is for a PS2 keyboard and a PS2 mouse as well as a VGA monitor. They make some KVM switches that are for USB keyboards and mice.... that would work for ya i think http://www.kvm-switches-online.com/gcs632u.html some have a button on them and some have a key command for switching, for instance mine @ home you double tap the scroll lock key and it switches machines. Greg Hess
If its a newer mac, you'll need a dvi-i kvm switch, as the newer macs only have dvi-i output, or that adb or whatever bs. Otherwise you'll have converters up the wazzo trying to get everything to work.
