uvw modifier

suppose i create a geometry, then apply materials and uvw map modifier.

 

later, i modify geometry through boolean... then re-convert object to poly.

 

How do i overwrite the previous uvw modifier on that object with a new uvw modifier, or get rid of the previous one?

Apply a UVW Mapping Clear modifier to get rid of your previous mapping.

 

If you don't have that modifier, convert the object to an editable mesh, run the UVW Remove utility and then convert back to an editable poly.
