I can't decide which of the 2 lighting solutions is better.

What do you guys think?

all other commentaries and suggestions as to how I can better this image are welcome as well (I know the entourage doesn't look well, and I'm replacing it later as well as the background)

First one for me, but only just, I also like the second one. Allthough i dont really like the angle of the shadow from the columns. Is the guy in the background on the left strangling his friend? lol. Looking good anyhow. Lose teh background its distracting and low res.

I also vote for the first one. Those shadows help the foreground interest. I know this is a lighting study, but I hope you do a couple things before your done: it's real blurry, I assume you will refine your AA and/or noise levels. Also, it looks like that guy is holding a gun to the other guys throat on the left down the walk. Either that, or he's moving in for a kiss and the other guy is trying to pull back because he doesn't swing that way. I would re position those guys.

Thanks a lot for the input people! So it seems Image #1 will be percusor to the final image.

@ Mazen, Nicnic, Andy, Paul---I'll be replacing the background as well as some of those people with the mysterious poses, (hint taken Andy, I need more women in the render as well, :D ).

As for the image being blury and noisy I think it's due to it being rendered at a low resolution with a lighting solution fitted to a higher resolution image.

@ Timothy--- here are my Vray settings, this image is going to be rendered at 3400X2200, what do you think?

Still have to do a night shot to do of the same courtyard, I'll post some images later in the day or maybe tommorrow.
