PapayaKing
I have just installed my new Autodesk VIZ 2007. Now everytime I try to create an extended AEC foliage object, the program crashes. Does anyone know what is going on? Thanks so much.
Jason Matthews
No problems here. Does anything else make it crash, or just the foliage? Try a re-install? Maybe check the AutoDesk forums.
PapayaKing
The foliage seems to be the only thing that makes it crash. I have un-installed and re-installed VIZ several times and it still crashes. It is calling an "Application Error". I have checked the Autodesk forums but have not found anything. This is really beginning to frustrate me. If anyone out there has any suggestions at all, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks again.
PapayaKing
I have purchased and ran Registry Mechanic 5.2 and have completely cleaned my system registry. I thought this might be the problem because I thought VIZ 2007 might be referencing some keys for my previous VIZ 4. I never had this problem with VIZ 4 so this is perplexing to say the least. I have completely uninstalled VIZ 4 and cleaned my registry of any reminents of it. But VIZ 2007 still crashes and only when I try to create a foliage object. Isn't there a place somewhere in VIZ to specify how many virtices or faces your model may have? Perhaps when I try to create a foliage object, the model gets too big for my system. I'm probably grasping at straws here but I am desperate. I've attached a screen shot of the error message. Please, please, please...Any help or suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated! vizwhiz
Dave if using 'foliage' causes a problem, maybe just DONT use it in VIZ but add Trees, etc Landscape items in photoshop, as a work-around This may not solve your exact problem but you can at least keep getting The work done not sure what is going on with This? i have never liked The VIZ foliage anyways just an idea Randy
PapayaKing
I have an NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS/GeForce 2 Pro video card. I have updated the driver. I have changed my graphics mode from Software, to Open GL to Direct 3D...but it still crashes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times, but it still crashes. And check this out...I just downloaded and installed Bionatics EASYnat for VIZ 2007 and the program still crashes. The program starts to create the object but then calls an Application Error. My VIZ 2007 was an upgrade from VIZ 4. It is a stand alone install. My processor is an AMD Athlon XP processor, 1.11GHz and I have 768 MB of RAM. (Old machine but still works). Any VIZ guru's out there? Please, any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.
