Camby1298
I've been searching the web for information about Jeff Patton's Mental Ray DVD. I originally was going to send Jeff a private message but I figured he has been getting a lot of inquiries already that I would make a post of it so many people can get the update. So Jeff! If you're out there, please ease my curiousity, what is the current status. Thank you for your time.
pixelperfectg
Hi Brian, I'm adding Max9 content to the collection(s). So the collection will cover Max6-9 now instead of 6-8 as previously planned. The Max6-8 stuff is pretty much complete except for some editing work, but the Max9 content is being recorded now. BTW, I will also be releasing a seperate Max9/mental ray project based training DVD (hopefully by the end of the year on this one too). So there's a LOT of mental ray info coming down the pipeline (and I'm just referring to my videos)... Jeff
Camby1298
Wow thanks for the reply Jeff, I know its starting to become a nuisance to reply to these types of emails/posts; Im sure a lot of people have been asking you on your progress. So I sincerely appreciate your feedback. With your huge ambition on this project, you are going to make a killing ($$ wise) on this little project of yours. You have at least one person waiting with his credit card to purchase the DVD. Thanks again!

AJLynn
Are you on subscription? The Subscription Center has a few that are not entirely useless, under E-Learning and Autodesk University.

AJLynn
It's a buton under Subscription on the Autodesk web site. If you don't have a log in you need to get whoever is in charge of software at your company to have the site issue you an invite.
mohinder
BTW, I will also be releasing a seperate Max9/mental ray project based training DVD (hopefully by the end of the year on this one too). Jeff Wow, thats really good news Jeff. I'd been pondering over asking the same questions as Brian but had similiar reservations about pestering you about the subject but atleast it means there are probably many other people who have an interest too. I can only imagine it must be pretty difficult trying to schedule a good time to make the dvd(s) available since just as you have completed content Autodesk decide to release what seems like a much improved Mental Ray within Maxs. Are you able to give us an idea of how much the dvd(s) will be, even a ball-park figure maybe? (and I said I wouldn't pester )
