IC
Your lighting setup needs most work. Are you using radiosty? Looks like the light isn't really bouncing around the room. I'd make the mirror a lot more reflective and adjust your camera angle off centre a little. btw, I loved "This ol' House"
shakey3d
hi IC thanks for the comment, i'll change the camera angle, but about the light there are 2 spot-lights outside, one is the sun and the other creats the lite-blue light, how do i make the light bounce around the room? btw i am using GI with mental ray (not radiosty)

kingeldar
i think the wood on the doors looks strange and left wall's too bright without any shadows... looks strange too
IC
Maybe if you put the blue light inside and make it an omni that would be an instant improvement. Ambient light by its definition isn't direct so a spotlight is the wrong way to go(Although it would be stronger near the window). btw, No Christmas single this year? shakey3d
i've been adjusting the lights and shadows, and the camera's angle, how does it look?
kingeldar
much better now! but left wall seems still too bright (but htere's shadow on it now....) doors wood seems still strange to me... and i guess the mirror still doesn't look veru realistic.. go on next render should be the good One... the nice one.... the beautiful render is in touch
IC
Much better-but turn down your ambient light and switch the shadows off. At least I think that's the problem. btw, I never thought 'The Welsh Elvis' did you any justice

kingeldar
the towels on the right look starnge too try adding a texture and a bump so it looks more realistic
shakey3d
i've used displacment for the towels, and fixed the lights a little. heres the update
giraffe
I think you should turn off shadows for the ambient light. I see the light on the left wall and I think it would be better if you increase the falloff value because it is the sun
