4d-infinite
Is it possible to do the following in max? 1. I have a few odd vertices around. 3. select those vertices 4. create a polygon/face (to fill the gap) (in blender, you will select vertices and hit F-key to make face.) Ricardo Eloy
Try using the Border selection (assuming you converted the mesh into an editable poly already) and press Cap. If a polygon can be created, this will do the trick.
4d-infinite
Thank you for your reply. But, what if the vertices are not connected by edges? Maybe max doesn't have exact equivalent.
InKarC
I know this is a really old thread but this is the first result in google when you search for this problem so the solution better be here; the solution is pretty simple: Polygon SubObject level, Create button (on the Edit Geometry rollout), click all the vertices, in sequence, starting and ending with the same one. 3D Snaps to Vertex (only) will help. It is possibly the new poly will be created with the Normal facing the wrong way - just Flip it (Edit Polygons rollout) if that happens.

Peter M. Gruhn
It oughta be a simple script, I just don't know the language and API well enough yet to drop it off the toppa.
