kippu
the most obvious question would be ... what is your processor type?
classix
Max9 comes as 64bit version or 32bit version. Maybe you hold the wrong version?
imgumbydammit
Max9 comes as 64bit version or 32bit version. Maybe you hold the wrong version? The installer autodetects wether you're trying to install on 32 or 64 bit system IGD
tokeboy
its a intel centrino duo processor... i think its 32 bit... its a new laptop and ive been having trouble with older versions of max aswell.... everytime i open max 7 it gets as far as the graphics driver setup screen and brings up a error message.. "interactive 3d renderer initialization failure". i tried the solutions on the autodesk site but nothing worked.

manta
So what you're saying is...NO version of Max will run on your computer...and your computer runs normally with other programs...if that's the case, I have no clue what could be wrong... abicalho
If you're having that much trouble you should contact your reseller. They're supposed to help you with instalation and they're closer to you than anyone in the forum. Cheers, -Alexander
