IHAB
either split your object to polygons to map then group them or you can use uvunwarp plugin & create your own map in photoshop
Advisor
You Unwrap an object so you apply a flat map to a 3d object or to "paint" on the object if U want. How do you want to unwrap a material?

IHAB
I mean to (detach) every face, you want to map,and so every face becomes an independant obj.
