Im from Malaysia, currently working as a 3d visualizer in an architecture firm in Kuala Lumpur. I couldnt get anyone who can make me go there. Now, Im lost. Ive sent my CV to 20 companies around the UK(yeah, thanks to your jobs section!). Its not as I am disappointing or wutever, but I want to go there! meet people, try something new...boy~ hahaha, I rant and Im sorry... STRAT Posted November 1, 2006 Share Posted November 1, 2006 to get a job in the UK you generally need to be living here first. i dont know any architectural firms that'll employ you without meeting you first. and they certainly wont pay for your re-location. at your age and with so little experience it's hard enough getting a full time job living here in the first place, let alone living half way across the world. Onslaught Posted November 1, 2006 Share Posted November 1, 2006 It's not that easy. From experience it took me 5 or more years before I landed a job in the U.S. I'ts not cheap either. Just keep trying and timing is also important. One more thing, you must be very, very, very good at what you do to even have them (companies) consider hiring someone from another country. ...just from my experience............
