Munz
I just got max 9 and it didn't come with any literature. In the past I would get a small book walking you through the new features. did I just not get this this time or did they stop this? munz
Chad Warner
We got a card with ours with instructions on how to get the hard copy of the manual.
ipxstudios
Yes we received - just one CD and no manual. There are some good videos on some new features at their website http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=7684178 yea it would be nice to have the manual too - guess we have to go to Borders again. AJLynn
It didn't offer me a manual, just a tutorials guide. They gave me the same thing for Max8 and it was pretty useless. Is there such a thing as a printed Max manual anymore?
Munz
sorry, that is what I meant, tutorial guide...
Geoffc
interestingly enough, acad 07 came with the request card for the free hardcopy, and indeed, it was a full size, like 4 lb manual, not tutorial guide. I haven't seen the same for max or viz. I'm sure they're trying to do the "press F1" for the manual trick.
AJLynn
Interesting trick: Every time you are issued a new release of Autocad, Revit, etc., that has a new part number, you can request new manuals. If they issue another Revit 9.x+Autocad that still uses Revit 9 and Autocad 2007 manuals, we'll have so many I can start making furniture out of them. Justin Hunt
An other attempt to save costs. Last time I read any manual was to build one of my kids toys, I still couldn't follow it as it was in Chinese. JHV
