richard@amdrendering.com
Hi All, Does anyone know of a good source for high quality motor yacht 3d models? Preferable Max format with textures. I have looked around at the usual sources (turbosquid) and have found their library to both be expensive and a little lacking. I am open to trades, etc if someone has modeled their own and can share. Thanks, Richard studioamd
Ernest Burden III
Several years ago I had bought some from a company called absicca, but I just checked their website and it's sorta not there: http://www.abscissa.net/ They had good models, but no mats and normals are not all correct. There are a few decent boats/yachts on formfonts.com also. There have been other threads like yours in the past, so search those out, there are probably other suggestions in them. Also, I've always found that a few models repeated is all you need unless the boats are going to be the center of attention. If your client has a specific boat that they own, you might be able to bum a model off the manufacturer.
Frosty
I needed boats a while back and Ernest turned me on to the same set. Worked great and the fellow is very easy going and fun to work with. I really wish he accepted pay pal tho. I dont like Western Union. Ernest, thats the wrong link

Ernest Burden III
Ernest, thats the wrong link I took it from his printed material from when I bought some models. Too old, I guess OK... what's the right link, then? This set looks very similar. http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/232671 It looks like two or three models repeated over and over. RobMc
Unfortunately I can't pass-on any of my models due to nda's, but I'm always open for commissions
