eksg
ei guyz, just wanna ask how i can calibrate a normal printer with my lcd monitor.thanks!
DavidR
We use a spider (forget manufacturer -sorry), and the printer auto-calibrates by reading a test pattern each time we start it, change media, etc. It still doesn't really work, so we have to print, compare to desired colour in light box, tweak, print, repeat. I'd love to know a better way.

edub
quick and dirty way: -take a print out and place next to monitor with same image on the screen. -change color settings on monitor to match print output by visually comparing the colors, contrast, etc. not the most scientific way, but in the absense of a calibration software, can be your best bet. hockley91
I agree with Edub. Quick and dirty way. I always have this problem with the older printers. My boss swears that Mac's do not have this problem. Is this true? I know all the graphic artists all use Mac's.
