DaveP
Dear all, could you please help me to resolve some technical problems with a animation i am producing. I have a number of issues: Ignore the crude animation path. http://www.cadenza-3d.co.uk/downloads/GC/ani01-small.zip 1.red dots 2.general flickering and flickering of reflections. 3.each still is 13 minutes long (need to cut it down), i am using a saved IRmap set for every10th frame(the large columns are mean't to look like a sparkly material not chrome). also attach vray settings. many thanks DaveP

gfa2
Your LC subdivsions look WAY low to me. When I use LC for secondary pass I'm usually up around 1000 to 1500.

Ya, I was gonna say the same thing, default is 1000, which you could maybe get away with on a still shot, but I wouldn't be lowering my settings when they actually need to be more acurate, not less... DaveP
thanks so far, kept it low on last project, but obviously not on this one. would you keep to IRmap and LC for my type of lighting solution. lookig at this scene what sort of times would you expect per frame. cheers DaveP
Ricardo Eloy
Also, for animations you would want to use LC set to world units rather than screen. That will help with the flickering.
