Fryrender?

Fran is beta testing it right now, she seems to really like it and she is a former Maxwell user. Fry seems to have almost all the capabilities of Maxwell, there have been claims that it's faster than Maxwell but I think the Jury is still out on that one. I think it's still to early to say if it's going to surpass Maxwell but they have a good start and really good technical support compared to Maxwell.

i dont want to be a part of a which is better maxwell or fry debate, but i can say ive used both and they both have thier own merits. i can say that fry still being in beta gets me excited on where it might go and so far im happy to work with it in my host app which is cinema 4d. i set my client work for the same amount of time as i would in maxwell and the output is very nice for me and my clients. for me the work flow in c4d with fry is the killer step as i find it really easy to get a fry render out of c4d. ive posted images on thier forum so you can see what ive been doing with it. all i can say watch this space, i know i am

I've done a little research on this rendering engine...

And just WOW. I'm amazed at the results. I wonder how easy it'll be to use. I've done some work in VRay recently, though very light as we've been swamped and I cant dive into it with a deadline until I'm comfortable, but just wow.

I cant WAIT for release on this engine. The programmers seem like good people too. I'd advise all to check it out who haven't.

Picking which renderer to specialize in is a TOUGH decision.
