Arnold Grove Posted November 11, 2006 Share Posted November 11, 2006 I'm reading this interview with Chris White on King Kong, and he talks about weathering buildings: We could then point rain emitters at the buildings and let the particle drops create streaks as they flowed over the surfaces. The end result is a texture map that can be projected back on the building. This is ingeniously simple! Can this be done with Max? I've read a lot of complaints about Max's particle system. I'm interested in creating years of smoke and dirt on walls and ceiling and I'm wondering if this is a good way to go. By the way, which channel to be projected from? manta Posted November 11, 2006 Share Posted November 11, 2006 It might be possible, but impractical I think, it would take alot of scripting, they had a whole team of Mel scripters doing Kong...
