I STRONGLY suggest you purchase the GNOMON Vray DVD's. They are awesome and wil teach you how important the fundemental understanding of what you are doing is. There really is no magic forumula for every scene.

 

Christopher Nichols (who lurks around here so I've been told) is the guy on the DVD and he does an amazing job of making sense of Vray.

 

Trinity3d.com has a good deal on the DVD's. Ask for Jim and tell em Todd sent ya.

 

To actually answer your question... are you looking for a "good" gi solution or basic test settings to help you setup your lighting?
