Claudio Branch
Here are a couple of frames from an animation for a soccer complex that I'm currently working on. The site is 160 acres and all of the terrain was modeled in AutoCAD with EasySite's 2.9 plug-in. The modeled structures were done in Max 8. The textures are primarily aerial photos manipulated with Photoshop. Lighting setup is a skylight and one mr spot. I still have some marshy grass, more trees, maintenance vehicles and people to add. Please feel free to offer any suggestions at all...I am interested in seeing my work only get stronger!
arketipo
Hi Man, good, they are looking nice, i think u need pay attention to grass in the first image. In the second the grass looks fine. Well and more trees, and tress and tress, but very very nice work and hard
3DIFX
Good job thus far. In addition to arketipo's comments, I would like to add that you may consider blurring the road smudges some to make them less uniform. It might also help if you darkened the road and added some painted markings (if they exist). The lighter road seems to work well for the top view so you may not darken it that much. How do you like the EasySite plug-in? Is it easy to work with? Just wondering.
Claudio Branch
Thanks for the remarks and suggestions. I would like more road markings too but... ...this site will have limestone roads and parking lots. EasySite 2.9 is easy to learn especially if you have significant AutoCAD experience (it is a plug-in after all). But like all the other sophisticated apps we all use, it takes time and practice to use it WELL. I do alot of heavy site work and most of it will be animated. The roadways I create in ACAD with EasySite will ease my work later for terrain mapping, road textures, car paths and camera splines.
