dwright
Great work.. only critique: some mapping errors on the top.
Jcs
Hi. This is one of several 3dmodels I got surfin' the internet. I don't know who modeled Notre dame du Haut, or the software used for it. I had a dxf file with a lot of errors, the curved surfaces aren't smooth. I just add some textures and hit the render button. For this renders I used a max script called domelight http://www.3dluvr.com/subagio/domelight/HDRdome.html to fake global ilumination. Basicaly it consists in an array of spot lights that you can control the settings. I don't remember what time it took to complete these, but you should expect the worst in case you increase the number of the lights. Of course the more you have, the better your results will be. However this script it's much more faster than any GI render you can find and results for exterior scenes are pretty good, I think...
dwright
Hi, Don’t get me wrong, I like it! Just that there is a weird texture mapping problem in the top... just being very picky! David
Jcs
yes, I know what you mean. The roof concrete looks weird, it needs to check the UVW map.
