MarkC-UK
Evening folks. Another basic question, that has got me stumped: When I use the cut command on an editable poly, is there a way of forcing the 'cut line' to be orthographic and in a straight line?? (i.e. similar to when you create a line, you can press shift to force straight lines) As always, any help gratefully received:)

The_architect06
you have to use the snaps toggle (the magnite) to cut in a straight line or you can use the slice command instead...hope that helps

MarkC-UK
Thanks for the response. I kind of thought that was how it might be done.

Justin Hunt
There is "Polar snaping mode" and "Ortho Snaping mode" You may need to add the Polar snap icon to you snaps tool bar, which is easily done by customizing the tool bar. Mayas well add the Ortho snap as well, which will restrict the movment to 90 degrees. JHV
