prawntoast
Hi, I am working on a project that was originally going to be GI rendered but have had to scrap the GI due to time constraints. However the renderer is still calculating prepasses even though Indirect Illumination is turned off. I have never noticed this before when not using GI and am wondering if there is something wrong. I am using Vray 1.5 RC2 and Adapaive QMC sampler. There are glossy reflections in the scene. It is a very large scene so I am not sure if this has anything to do with it If someone can tell me if this is normal that would greatly appreciated. Thanks PT
devres
It's the glossy reflections... there are a few things that will add prepasses to a render.
kippu
the glossy materials have interpolations option on .... at 1.47 times it used to speed up... dont think people use it anymore
prawntoast
Thanks for that dev res it certainly was the interpolation. I had just decided to turn it off anyway as it was looking funny in animation. However I hadn't taken it off some of my minor materials that I hadn't bothered with. Cheers PT
