Brian Smith
It's coming out that way because you arent using interpolation. When you create a simple circle, there are only 4 vertices, though it looks smooth because it's interpolating. With terrain, interpolation is not automatic, you have to specify it in the Simplification rollout. A better way to get it right though is to, before do the terrain command, attach the lines together using the edit spline modifier, and then go to Segment subobject mode and divide the segments. This adds the number of vertices you want and the result when you use terrain next time will be smooth curves.
chow choppe
so basically its divide command i have used it to smooth the lofts along curves didn't knmow that it will work for terrain also Thanks i will try that
mskin
try using the normalizespl modifier too. It will place vertexes at determined distances along the spline.... i think. helped me out with a terrain model.
