neko
james. is this autocad 2007 we are talking about ? and is this a new customised .mnu file, or a modifed acad.mnu ? i know there are some issues with workspaces / menus - let me know the answers and i can likely help you out (maybe not today though) paul
JamesTaylor
Sorry, should have said which version.... its 2005. i think it'll be a new customised .mnu file, i'm creating by right clicking on an empty area of the tool bar / UI and selecting Customise.... then under the Tollbars tab i'm pressing the new button and dragging the required tools onto the new menu. I've done it this way many time on many machines, but for some reason this time it isn't saving the menu and relaoding it next time i open CAD. Thanks for the help, i'll watch for your suggestions. neko
it sounds like you know what you're doing. it might be an idea to create a new profile. is it possible that another profile is the default when starting ?
JamesTaylor
I can give it a go.... can you point me in the right direction tho, never created profiles before!!!
neko
options menu (or config) - the last tab should be 'profiles' autocad is sort of phasing this concept out in 2006/2007, but i used to really like it. you save a profile (.arg) and it keeps all the configuration settings (including toolbars and menus) for you to reload at any time.
