alikashan
battery life always decreases. and normally laptops last in battery mod 2-3 hours tops.
IHAB
normaly my battery lasts for 8-9 hrs while net surfing, typing or so on but when trying to render without the adapter it lasts for 1 to 1.5hrs tops tis is because renders take top processing power which eats battery charge, forgot to say its an hp centrino single core.. anyway if you are forced to, you can start render then close the screen either by power settings or closing tray(also with power settings set not to let the LT hibernate),this may save power by 40%
AJLynn
When you're not running anything computationally intensive, your system is running in low power mode. When you render, the CPU is on full. What you'e seeing is normal. You'd need to check with HP to see if they have any better battery options.
