Sink Issues

Hey Guys,

I am rendering a kitchen sink and faucet and it seems I am having a problem in one area, the sink.

Everything looks great in the render but the sink is grainy. I am assumung this is from the shadows which the Vray lights produce.

Should I bump up my vray light subdivisions? they are set at 30 right now.

I had made my walls white and then the scene came out too bright but the sink looked better which means more light less grain. Should I maybe make my walls grey (you wont be able to see them) or maybe add an omni in the sink?

any suggestions?

Thanks

if the rest of the scene looked fine then you might get the same result but faster render time if you up the subdivision of the material on the sink in the material editor instead of increasing the light subdivisions.

hey PG1

Yeah that is what I actually did as well. I increased the subdivisions of the material...I will be doing some experimenting to see if I can decrease render times a little by decreasing the subd's of the lights...thansk for your advice!!!
