AFK_Matrix
Hi, Ok at the moment I have been using ADT to make the 3D walls, windows and doors etc as I originally did this before moving to max. Now I have used max for around 4 years now and have read the thread about just modelling in Max and most people seem to do this. Now I am not against trying to do the whole model in Max and just use AutoCAD to setup the elevations etc. But one thing I was wondering about was the windows. The company I work for have many different styles and shapes, thus in ADT I have made a style of window and can quickly input the window size and style and create the right window. But in Max I can't see an easy way apart from creating each size of window in each of the styles we use and import them when making my houses. This seems an awful lot of work but I suppose once there done there done, but is there another way people do windows in max?
Justin Hunt
I suppose you went through it with ADT. How about exporting each window as a DWG, translate it in Max and save a Max version to be dropped in when ever needed. Would be alot easier and quicker than remodelling each window from scratch.
