shikodesign2000
Hi again my friends, This the water surface I've meant before, do you see the noisy reflection effect, it's so beautifull, I tried bump maps but I didn't make it, so please if anyone knows how to make it, I'll be so thankfull if he told me. Thanks a lot. Sherif Massoud http://www.3dshore.com
STRAT
i personally think thats horribly un-convincing water. but, to get larger distorted ripples like that you need a much larger scale map in your bump channel. and to get that ripple texture - use a multi layered material with a specular or diffuse map that does't effect the bump channel
caddiellac
Hello Sherif. My comment is- how is it that the water surface flushes with the floor, its like a wet table top. is it? and the view looks like from someone whos sitting on the floor. well ok have a nice day
Hao La
I confused by looking at the image, I dont get what's the thing in front
AJLynn
That looks like you've put a shiny green plastic mat on the floor. Is it supposed to be a pool of water? You'd need to detail the edge of the pool, drop the water surface below the level of the edge of the container that holds it, and make it wavy, reflective, a bit refractive (which would require detailing the inside of the pool) and not green. jophus14
This doesn't have the same quality as the usual Evermotion Interior scene does. It seems like it lacks a whole lot and the shiny thing is a distraction.
Hao La
Have you guys noticed that Archinterior vol7's quality is totally changed? I think it's not getting any better than previous packages. Render's quality is too noisy, some details are lost. I always wanted to purchase these packages, but after look at this volume, I think I need to reconsider. AJLynn
Oh, wait, that's from Archinteriors? I thought Sherif was looking for help. WTF? This looks like a half-hour box-ful-of-Evermotion-models done to try some lighting and materials, with low glossy settings and almost no detailing or thought put into the composition, if it's been done by somebody who's good. And the glossy green plastic mat is weird. Now that I look at the page on Archinteriors 7, I'm not very impressed by anything except for some of the materials. Sherif- that "noisy" render effect is just that - noisy. It's not a desirable effect, it's what happens when it's a difficult raytracing and the glossy sample settings aren't sufficient. If you want grain, use a Photoshop film grain effect for more consistency.
Andrew1
yeah, this sux. Archinteriors don't come with a pool ?? cheers!
shikodesign2000
Hi guys, First, thanks to you all for your interest and your comments, but it seems that you didn't get my intention, even I was surprised from your openions in my comment. Anyhow, when I said that the reflection is beautifull, I meant just the reflection shape, just, nothing else, even though I don't see the rest of the image is bad, I think the grainy effect and the greeny woody floor is meanable from the image maker, anyway, it's my point of view, and it's natural that evryone has its own. Thanks, Sherif Massoud http://www.3dshore.com
STRAT
everyone's entitled to their opinion. of course the irony is the rest of the image isn't bad but, i still wouldn't aspire to that 'pool'. in all honesty, just dealing with the 'water' itself, the reflection is very poor, as is the colour and shape. this is not the kind of example to make your water look like. it looks more like a peice of stretched glossy plastic maybe. AJLynn
That's why it's funny - it is a piece of glossy plastic.
