Crazy Homeless Guy Posted November 27, 2006 Share Posted November 27, 2006 we just upgraded to Max 9. we are updating our various plug-ins. we installed Treestorm, but when we launched Max, we received the error shown in the attachment. anyone have this problem, or a solution to this problem.....??? ts. tuekappel Posted November 27, 2006 Share Posted November 27, 2006 in the meantime, the workaround is obvious, but a bit stupid-feeling: create your shrubbery in MAx 8, and export it as Vray proxies; import those into your Max 9 scene. BrianKitts Posted November 28, 2006 Share Posted November 28, 2006 if you email onyx, they say that they are working on it and in the meantime that you can use the standalone aps to export 3ds models and which can obviously be imported into and ap.... no vray proxy needed then.... kind of annoying because you can't quickly edit the objects without reexporting but it you're in a pinch it'll work for ya.
