mahorela
whats your secondary bounce? I recommend Light Cache. My test render settings are usually low irradiance 50/20 and a light cache setting of 100. Even on such low settings I never get fuzz like that. mahorela
I can't quite see where your light source is coming from......is there a window somewhere or is the only light in the room coming from those downlights? In any case those downlights are on which means that the room should be more well lit than it is now, that fuzz your getting is probably because you only have one light source and it is outside the model and to get good results from this type of setup your settings on vray have to be quite a bit higher. Try adding some spherical vray lights to represent the downlights, this will lighten the mood and reduce the fuzz. Try to get some bump mapping happening with the floor as well. I would leave your vray settings the way they are and experiment with adding lights where the downlights are.
mahorela
oh and some grout for the tiles....either add it to the map in photoshop or use a tile map for in the diffuse and bump channel and use the tile map as the tile colour map.
agolk2
I have spheres in those downlights. I cant seem to figure out how to get them to be very bright though
mahorela
with these types of scenes sometimes I click the "no decay" button for the lights, I know it doesn't make strict lighting sense but it gets the job done.
agolk2
whats your typical multiplier on them?
andreg
The noise could be from not enough light or material subdivisions. You can also try to render with the noise setting at 0.003 in the RQMC sampler but that will increase your rendertimes a bit. I hope it helped, gimme some feedback
3dSol
hi your tiling on the floor doesnt look very nice for a room this size you could model and array your tiles to get a nice volume effect for each otherwise you can use a displacement
Zeilveen
Maybe open the wall abit and let some strokes of hard sunlight in, that would brighten up the place, or maybe a skydome? Ronald
