CookiE
Hello Im new to vray well basicly max I am trying to make a render of a building and then put it into a photo I have taken the photo lined everything up and works fine so i start to work on lighting I have the background photo put in under Rendering>Environment With Scanline the background comes out perfectly But with Vray without doing anything it comes out like this Is there a way to make vray stop affecting the background or is there a better way to create the image that i am wanting? Other than in photo shop i know how to do it there but this way is better to get the colours right then i can overlay and paint in and out whats in front Cheers Caleb
manta
That's really strange, it should look the same as scanline, all you're doing is switching renderers ??? I just did it, and they were exactly the same...

dinhtuan
Turn off affect background in Colormapping rollout in Vrayrenderer?
3DIFX
I agree with Maria. Looks like a logorithmic exposure control problem to me. Try changing it to linear or no exposure control (anything other than logorithmic).
manta
I experimented with the exposure controls, and they have no effect on the environment background...
Christopher Nichols
I've seen this before... I think it is a bug... Can you send it to the vray guys?
