radiosity and chrome material

same it happen with me when i use vray:confused:

 

If your using raytrace,you'll definitely get a black object.

 

illyrianeye,try using a map instead of the usual raytrace for chrome material,I also had problem on using raytrace on radiosity before.

As is, its not a raytrace material. It's just a standard material with a reflection map and blur. If I rended in scanline its fine, but when used with radiosity,it looses its shine/metallic look to it.

well first of all that map looks disabled.

second what you should do if you are using a IES sun is to go to the radiosity dialog and you'll find physical scale, put that at the value of your sun. This will resolve your reflections..

so if your sun says 80000 (which is standard) then set your physical scale at 80000.... and render...
