shikodesign2000
Hi there, Is there any way to make my objects move in vray animation? for example, when I make exterior animation, and I want to make my cars moving, what's the proper vray renderer settings to make this animation?? Thank you so much.. Sherif Massoud http://www.3dshore.com
Christopher Nichols
The best Tutorial on doing something exactly like that is here: http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/150R1/tutorials_anim.htm
shikodesign2000
Hi, When I tried this tutorial: http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/150R1/tutorials_anim.htm It's for moving objects in vray animation, I found the plug-in "VRaySphereFade" doesen't work, I don't know why? If anyone can tell me, I'll be so thankfull. Best regards, Sherif Massoud http://www.3dshore.com
TAKA
Whatever happened to the power of compositing people? Artists have been doing CG integration into live action footage long before Vray was there. If u wanna rely on the PC to do all the work for you and spend a month waiting for your animation to finish rendering (moving objects, lights changing, etc...). I recommend a camera pass (flythrough) and a moving objects pass. So basically it's like the tutorial chris gave the link to, except that for the moving pass i render an HDRI (spherical) out of my scene, delete all static geometry and light the moving objects with the HDRI. Of course some issues like geometry masks might arise, but u can easily render such passes as well, and composite the whole thing in your favorite comping package. Christopher Nichols
That is sort of what the tutorial is all about. Splitting the lighting between environment and characters, then comping.

John Dollus
Pretty sure 1.45 did not support VraySphereFade and is quite old. You need to contact ChaosGroup and get an update.
