Neelu
Hi all, Would anyone know why this happened? My axis tripod does not show up anymore and this is making it hard to modify and move any object in my 3dsMax8 scene. I can't see the axis tripod and I can't see the transform gizmo. No point hitting 'X' on my keyboard, as the axis tripod is not there to begin with. My Gizmo preference settings are default settings and the 'Show tripod' square is checked. Please help. Thanks so much.
Claudio Branch
I have had this problem before too...it seems that the transform gizmo disappears without any warning. Try this... Go to Customize, ...Preferences and then select the Gizmos tab. Here just make sure that the "on" box is checked for transform gizmos. This usually gets me back on track. BrianKitts
is it just one object or is it everything in the scene? when you zoom WAY WAY out do you see it, thus it's there but somehow got moved way out into no man's land? if so....select an object and on the command panel under the hierarchy tab.... click affect pivot and try using the reset or center to object options. Neelu
Go to 'Views' at the top of the screen and make sure 'Show Transform Gizmo' is ticked. IceAged, Thank you so much. That worked! I wonder why that menu overrides the preference settings. but, yay! I can see the gizmo now!!
